Established in 1994, the Hume Award has recognized more than 80 outstanding student-athletes for excellence both on and off the field.

The award ceremony rotates among participating civic organizations every four years, with ECON periodically serving as the host organization. The luncheon is an open meeting and typically welcomes approximately 30 guests associated with the award, including five finalists and their families, coaches, school representatives, and members of the media.

During the program, Mark North introduces the Hume Award presentation. Each finalist is recognized, with coaches sharing remarks about the students. ECON is honored to host this year’s Hume Award on Tuesday, December 8, 2026.
