My strengths are in personal and commercial credit analysis, financial structuring, and community outreach. My banking philosophies are built on conservative practices. I have a passion for teaching financial literacy to clients and the rest of the community.

In college, I was a student assistant coach/ walk-on at David Lipscomb University under head coach Don Meyers and was a recruiting assistant / walk-on at the University of Tennessee under head coaches Jerry Green and Buzz Peterson. I am an East Nashville native, an Eagle Scout and “Basketball Aficionado”.
My financial services background began with Wells Fargo Financial in Knoxville,TN. I transitioned my client base to Regions Bank in Franklin, where after two years I was promoted to business banking sales manager for the southern region of Middle Tennessee. From January 2012 to August 2013 I trained as an underwriter for Regions Large Corporate and Middle Market group. I was employed with Regions Bank for over 10 years. I served as a Financial Advisor with Pinnacle Financial Partners for five years.

I am currently serving as the Cheif Relationship Officer for Citizens Savings Bank & Trust Company. As part of CSB&T’s executive team, I help deliver a creative and effective client experience while developing corporate and community relationships across the state.

My wife is Jessica McGruder, we have two daughters Marlee and Ansley. My family lives in Brentwood, TN. I currently serve on the board of directors for KIPP Academy Nashville. I have been active as a volunteer and community partner with several other organizations such as; CE McGruder Family Resource Center, Williamson County Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Franklin, Boy Scouts of America, New Hope Academy Board of Trustees, Nashville Celtics AAU basketball program. and Junior Achievement.

I have a Masters of Business Administration with a minor in Healthcare Administration from Trevecca Nazarene University.
