Working with Nashville’s
Community Organizations

The Economic Club of Nashville (ECON) provides a dynamic forum for business and community leaders to identify and discuss economic, social and political issues of special interest to Nashvillians. Members seek to interact with local businesses and government officials and support key nonprofit organizations that contribute to the quality of life in the Greater Nashville area.

ECON is a local civic and service organization, which works to make Nashville a better place to live.  ECON and its predecessor organization, the Exchange Club of Downtown Nashville, has been serving the Nashville community since 1920.  Besides its weekly lunch meetings, where community leaders discuss economic, political, and social issues of special interest to Nashvillians, ECON supports key nonprofit organizations, such as The Family Center, Cheekwood, and its own Cultural Assistance Program formed in 2014, which provides opportunities for children and their families to participate in Nashville's cultural and arts programs.  ECON's major fundraiser for supporting these charitable organizations is the Annual Antique & Garden Show held in February each year.
